Supporting ART 1963-2013
Art inspires communities and provides for expression. As Maryland’s oldest artist-run organization, the Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) celebrates and supports local and national artists by giving them professional avenues for exhibition. Whether at MFA’s iconic location, Circle Gallery on State Circle in Annapolis, or at alternate sites including local restaurants, public buildings, in partnership with other nonprofits, and at the University of Maryland College Park, artists at all stages of their careers are able to bring to the public their points of view through their work. Since 1963, the Maryland Federation of Art has brought unique, innovative and current art created by living artists to the community via juried and solo exhibitions of work.
Art sparks new ideas, challenges our senses and inspires communities. By supporting and promoting artists and bringing their visions to the public, MFA is building bridges between people, ideas, passions, and perceptions.
Making Art a part of our community for 50 years is worthy of a celebration! Check out our 50th Anniversary page to learn a little more about our history and to see the timeline of celebratory events that you are invited to join.
